I am Suraj Garg, a Milton Keynes-based photographer with roots in Hyderabad, India. My journey with photography began as a passing hobby using a point-and-shoot camera, but over time it evolved into a deep passion. I have travelled across diverse places in India and around the world, capturing the essence of people, places, and architecture with a unique perspective through my lens.
My father is a talented photographer himself and I always loved his unique perspective on capturing an image. In fact in his university days he even designed and developed an indigenous film camera nearly 50 years ago!
I have been photographing almost everything that came my way but eventually my inclination grew towards architecture, particularly fine art black & white genre and that has been my calling.
In recognition of my technical skills and creative vision, I was awarded the Licentiate Distinction (LRPS) by the Royal Photographic Society – a milestone that affirms my commitment to the craft and the quality of my work.
A highlight of my career came in 2018 when one of my images was shortlisted in Architectural Photography Awards (in the 'Interior' category) and I was elated to see my name appear in some of the leading international news publications like BBC, CNN, The Guardian amongst others. I have also won many other international photography awards.
I love travelling and capturing the essence of the place with my camera. I cover different genres like architecture, landscape, street, cityscape, portraits, culture and more.
